The Forum Marinum Maritime Centre is a lively and versatile centre for maritime activities, comprising a National specialist museum for Maritime History, and the Finnish Navy Museum.
The maritime centre has a considerable collection of museum vessels: two tall sail ships, four naval ships and several smaller vessels, ranging from a steam harbour tugboat to a police boat.
The venue is in the maritime museum Forum Marinum, 3 km from the city center.
Easiest way to get there is either by flight to Helsinki and take a train from the airport to Turku. There is airport also in Turku but no direct international flights. Another alternative is by ferryboat from Stockholm. The terminal in Turku is just 1km from the venue.
The closest (and cheapest) place is on museum ship s/s Bore which serves today as hostel and is moored just beside the venue.
